Researchers noted that in the two-year study, the men who took the anti-estrogenic medication were significantly more likely to develop liver disease compared to those who did not take the medication. This was consistent with a previous study, which found that anti-estrogenic treatment improved overall survival for those with type 2 diabetes who took an anti-estrogenic medication.
